We used Grimci for popcorn ceiling removal in our whole house, and to paint the walls in the staircase. John and his team were fantastic to work with! Everything turned out great, our ceilings look brand new and flawless. They were extremely clean. We plan to use them for more projects in the future and highly recommend them!

Hired Grimci Team to remove popcorn ceiling texture and paint interior for preparing to move into home we bought. Aldo, who answered the calls and always returned calls, was very responsive in helping us meet our timelines. John and his painting crew were very kind, professional, and treated our home as if it were their own. The paint job is meticulous and ceilings are flawless. We truly appreciate John taking our unique circumstances into consideration and going above and beyond expectations. I gave him the key to the house, and each time I showed up they were hard at work. The house, blinds, floors, etc. were very clean after the job was done. Glad John suggested a matte finish. The walls are gorgeous without any sign of the many holes from the previous owner’s wall hangings. We paid a little more than expected, but it was well worth it. John Grimci and his team painted and restored several rooms in our newly acquired 1932 Dutch Revival home in New Britain, CT. In addition to painting the walls, ceilings and woodwork, they also caulked space between the crown molding and ceiling that had begun to separate from each other. They also patched and painted some cracks that had “spiderwebbed” across the plaster ceilings in two of the rooms. John was particularly forthcoming in offering his professional opinion regarding the choice of gloss finish (or lack thereof) to best hide plaster patches and better set us up to touch up nicks or nail holes that we might have to contend with in the future.Our floors were being refinished just as John and his crew became available for their end of the project. They were so accommodating with the floor refinisher’s scheduling needs! The newly refinished floors were so professionally masked and cared for by John and his team.It wasn’t remodeling we were looking for from Grimci Team, but rather restoring our vintage home to its very best condition. It’s a relief to know we have a company we can trust and praise for the other projects we have for our house both inside and out.
Excellent work very professional we are very pleased with John and his crew, also painted all my radiators and covers and repaired my crown molding that was separated from ceiling and repaired the plaster ceiling in my 1932 vintage house.

We had our house exterior power washed, exterior trim painted, and most of the interior of the house painted. John, and team did such a great job. From the inquiry/quote all the way to the completion of the project, their communication and responsiveness was exceptional. It was a pleasure working with John from Grimci Team LLC. We purchased a house built in 1813 and wanted rooms painted before moving in. Quite a challenge to work on such an old home, but not for these experienced craftsmen. Every step during the 2 weeks or so went very smoothly. Communications and scheduling were easy. John’s attention to detail, no matter what we asked, or what we changed, was amazing. He was very thorough and conscientious. The old house had lots of tricky details, but there were no roadblocks that couldn’t be resolved. We added things as the project progressed, but that was taken in stride. I will highly recommend Grimci Team LLC to all. Very professional, trustworthy and knowledgeable, as well as courteous and conscious of leaving all areas cleaner than when painting started. The finished project was better than we imagined; lots of hard work resulted in a home that is warmer and homier.
Grimci Painting – These guys are a great find. I saw them painting a near by house and watched them for about a week. They were always working and appeared to be doing a good job; especially in the details. I approached the homeowner and asked for an opinion. I got a great review.We own a 140-year-old Victorian house. From the street it looks simple; but there are many details that make painting it a pain. I know, I’ve painted it myself many times in the past 37 years. Offset shake siding on the 2nd and 3rd floors (hard to get in each corner of each shake), high peaks and hard to reach gables are a few of the challenges.I had three quotes to paint my house and I asked John Grimci to give a quote. Even though English is his second language, he (and Google Translate) gave me great ideas to improve the job on my house, improve the appearance and save money.His quote was competitive; I awarded him the job.Every day they showed up on time and worked a full day with minimal breaks. I couldn’t be happier with the work done on our house. Repairs were made to damaged wood and the entire house was painted. The color is beautiful and the trim looks brand new. Repairs were also made to the deck and it was then stained. The work was done quickly and the price was reasonable.
